1. LeapFrog LeapPad Explorer studying Tablet - This is new for 2011 and is set to be the must have toy for four year old girls this year - at least when it comes to electronic studying toys. It has a large 5" screen that is a touchpad - just like the iPad. At around $100, it costs a lot less, though, so you can feel okay giving it to a four year old girl.


2. Playskool Alphie - This first-rate has been updated and modernized. The first-rate Alphie robot was cool, but the new one for 2011 has even more great studying activities for children. Not all girls are going to like the robot concept, but it is going to be a hit with some girls out there.
